Research Interests
The
biopsychosocial factors influencing differential health outcomes in
late-life; gender and racial disparities in active life expectancy and
the disablement process; group differences in marital, fertility, and
work histories.
Graduate Profile
Tyson Brown
completed the master's program in Sociology in the Spring of 2003,
after completing a bachelor of arts degree in Sociology at the
University of Florida. Tyson is now working towards his Ph.D. in
Sociology at the University of North Carolina. Following the completion
of the Ph.D., his plan is to pursue an academic position or a
postdoctoral research position.
